A lecture by the extremist right-wing Dutch MP Geert Wilders at the Temple University in Philadelphia, was met with protests by students because of his attack against Islam and the Holy Koran.

Wilders – who produced the anti-Islamic film ‘Fitna’ – a few days ago arrived in Britain after a government decision preventing him from entering the UK was overturned.

The ‘Fitna’ film caused many protests in the Islamic world because of his attack against Muslims, Islam and the Holy Koran.

‘Fox News’ reported that Geert Wilders, in his lecture at Temple University - which was under heavy security - called upon Europe and the US to ‘confront the threat of Islam.’

In his lecture, which lasted 30 minutes, Wilders said that: “Freedom dies wherever Islam exists.” 

Student reactions varied. Some students shouted: "Our western culture is extremely better than the Islamic civilization, we have to defend it."

Wilders also criticized US President Barack Obama because “he is supporting the Islamic World. The extensive spread of Islam in the West will lead to a disappearance of the constitution…wake up and defend your freedom.”

He called for a stop to the immigration of Muslims into Europe and attacked the Holy Koran.

Some students shouted in protest of his lecture at the university.

The ‘Fitna’ film, which offends Islam, was shown to students of the University before Wilder’s lecture.

One of the students criticized Wilders speech by saying: "The University committed a mistake by hosting a person who supports racism and calls for intolerance".

Another student said: "I may not agree with the director thoughts, but it is essential to allow him to express his opinion."

The University said in a statement: "The students have the right to invite any person to the University to express various opinions."

The British Government considered Wilders ‘a dangerous man who threatens public security.’

Wilders was invited to Britain by Lord Pearson, the president of the British Independent Party.

The British Ministry of Interior pointed out that: “Wilders has been allowed to enter Britain, but he may not be allowed to enter Britain in the future because of his declarations against Islam and his behavior."

The ‘Prophet of Allah’ Campaign, which was launched by the Fact International Media Group is legally pursuing Wilders because of his film ‘Fitna’ and has made a ‘criminal complaint’ against the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. 

Jordanian Prosecutors have filed five lawsuits, which are:

Slandering of the Prophets of Allah,

Publishing of publications and manuscripts which humiliate the religious feelings of Muslims,

Insulting the Islamic religion,

Offending Prophet Mohammad, God's blessing and peace be upon him, through written articles and cartoons,

Inciting sectarianism,

Violating the laws of electronic transactions

The campaign called for a boycott of all Danish and Dutch goods in the Islamic World.
