Former Egyptian FM assistant: ‘Israel's next war will be with Egypt to occupy Sinai’
CAIRO- The former assistant to Egypt's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdallah al-Ashaal, criticized Egypt for its insistence to keep the Rafah crossing shut. The Crossing Agreement signed in 2005, after Israel's withdrawal from Gaza Strip, does not obligate Egypt to abide by it.

Cairo- Politicians and experts described Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's recent visit to Sudan as a major turning point in relations between the two countries after a period of strained relations and alienation between Cairo and Khartoum. The visit also opened a new chapter of relations between Egypt and southern Sudan which plans to separate from the mother country after Sudan's 2011 referendum.
