Jordan, UK want action for Gaza

AMMAN– Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Monday discussed bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region with his British counterpart William Hague.
During a meeting in London, the two officials looked into means to resume the Middle East peace process and arrive at a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
A statement from the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, received by The Jordan Times yesterday, quoted Hague as saying that the talks covered "the need for a solution based on the 1967 borders, with a just settlement for refugees and with Jerusalem as the future capital of both states", as well as "action to address the situation in Gaza".
"Jordan is a very close partner for the UK and we attach great importance to our relationship," the statement quoted the British foreign minister as saying.
Hague said the discussions also addressed "the British government's plans to pursue a distinctive foreign policy in the Middle East, which we regard as a region of great opportunity and promise".
